Thylogale House captures the essence of tropical living.  Constructed from fired Clay Block, this two storey home features a cathedral ceiling with sophisticated use of rainforest timbers throughout.  The mezzanine level with polished timber floors is reached via a striking internal timber staircase.  The ground level features ceramic tiles with French Doors leading onto large terracotta tiled front and rear verandahs.

Two large Bedrooms and Main Bathroom with spa are located on the ground level, while the Main Bedroom, with spacious ensuite and private balcony, is situated upstairs.  A fourth room suitable as a child's bedroom, nursery or office is also located on the upstairs level. 

The open plan living and dining area adjoins the kitchen on the lower level, while more open living space is found on the mezzanine.  

The Mezzanine Level showcases the natural texture of various timbers used throughout the home.

 Cathedral Ceiling above the Living and Dining area.  While ceiling fans and open French doors keep this void cool in summer, the classical fireplace provides the house with warmth on those cool, tropical hinterland winter evenings.

 

The Main Bathroom is on the lower level and features a corner spa as well as a large tiled, glassed screened shower.

 The Northern and Southern sides of the house have full length, terracotta tiled verandahs, ideal for tropical living and al fresco dining!  The exposed Oregon beams of the house interior have also been used on the verandahs and double carport. Silky Oak French Doors provide access from both verandahs to all areas of the house. A delightful feature of the front verandah is a slate tiled sundeck with an ornamental fish/frog pond stocked with native fish and surrounded by tropical foliage.

 

Situated on the upstairs level, the Main Bedroom with spacious ensuite, built-in robe and balcony overlooking the garden and pond area, is large and private.

 

This spacious Bathroom, with tiled, glass screened shower, is an ensuite to the main bedroom.

 

The beautifully crafted internal Staircase is a focal feature of the house. The steps are Queensland Silver Ash with turned spindles of Kwila.

 

 The Kitchen features stunning Black Bean timber cupboards and bench tops, gas cooktop and wall oven, double bowl sink and dishwasher. The spacious walk-in Pantry will satisfy all your storage needs.
