Being a member of Melbourne PC User Group offers the following benefits, Melb. PC now has over 11,500 members which makes us part of the largest PC User Group in the world.  Most functions of the group are preformed by the large band of hard working volunteers, including contribution of articles to the club magazine PC Update.  These tasks include the editing of the magazine, collection and distribution of Shareware, organisation of meetings just to name a few.

The group promotes people from all lines of work to participate and share their skills, with fellow members for their own enjoyment or work.

Melb PC also offers training in any particular field of computing from just starting out with Windows or Dos to advance Programming.  The group has its own fully-equipped training centre using networked Pentium systems, courses are run in a classroom with instructor and one machine per student.

Another benefit of being a member is PC Update the groups monthly magazine, which offers timely information on new products and review's of products.  Melb PC also provides electronic access to a 34 line Bulletin Board Services which allows country members to access & download latest patches & trial software.

An local Internet service is also provided with 127 lines for local members to access and use Internet features.
