These attractive and stylish pens not only write but incorporate an LED (Light Emitting Diode) so that you can see what you are writing in any lighting conditions - even total darkness. The pen's clever design allows the light source to be focused at the writing tip which causes an eerie glow of the internal features of the acrylic barrel. The ball point pen is protected with a clear cap. The LED is operated by an on-off switch mounted at the top end. A unique and good-looking pen that you would be proud to receive or give as a gift. They make an ideal present for birthdays, Christmas or whatever. Ideal for use in bed or in the car or as a handy torch, by unscrewing the clear barrel, for finding the keyhole late at night or those lost items behind your desk! The new ultra-bright white pen (ST3075) could even be used to light your path whilst out walking at night! Kids love these pens and teenagers can use them at the disco to create interesting lighting effects. Measures 145mm long by 10mm diameter (5.75 x 0.4 inches). Uses three LR41 (SR41W, 392) button cells - which are included. A handy container is also provided. The L1154 button cells (measures 11mm dia. x 5mm high) are a 1.5 volt alkaline battery. These batteries are used in most electronic games and many novelties. The L1154 can be used to replace the Silver Oxide type being the same size although it does not have quite as much capacity (20% less) it however is much cheaper! Here are some of the cells it can replace: 357, 357A, A76, AG13, G13, LR44, S1154E, SR44, SR44W, V13GA, WL-14. Four of the L1154 button cells are used in a 6V camera battery - L1325, 4LR44, 4SR44, PX28, GP476A, V4034PX. Just open the battery case and replace the cells! Teachers take note: The multi-coloured or rainbow pen provides an interesting demonstration of how combinations of colours produce other colours! Simply unscrew the barrel of the ST3074 pen and project it onto your hand or white paper to see the individual colours (red, green and blue) from the Tri-color LED that make up the other shades - yellow, aqua, purple and white.
