Postscript:
The DZC5000A scales are what we use here in the office to weigh small parcels and merchandise.
We have found these scales to have good accuracy in determining the postage charges - always showing a few grams more than the post office scales (their accuracy is amazing considering the post office scales cost $2,000).
Tip: when measuring large parcels where you can't see the display - press the TARE button then remove the parcel, the display will now show the weight as a negative value!
The QM7244 scales have been purchased by labs and farmers and has good resolution, accuracy and repeatability. It can be re-calibrated easily and can be powered from the mains! A regulated 5V or 6V power supply should be used.
Colour of all items may vary to that shown.
Calibration of QM7244:
In order to calibrate these scales, a standard 2Kg weight is needed. Start with no weight on the scales and with the scales OFF. Press and hold the 'mode' button whilst pressing and holding the 'ON' button. A display of -5664 should occur then release the buttons.
Press the 'ON' button again and the 'ZERO' calibration will occur. Place the 2Kg weight on the scales and then press 'ON' once more. A display of 'CAL' will occur and your scales are now calibrated. Switch the scales on again and check that the scales read correctly with the standard weight.
